Wade Bales teams up with young Tokara winemaker Miles Mossop to achieve this velvety, complex vintage.  Miles has been bottling brilliance at Tokara since 2000, and also has his own label –Miles Mossop Wines –with hand-crafted wines named after his children.

In this wine, Miles feels he’d achieved the blend and balance he’d aimed for.  There’s a core of sweet red fruit, the acidity’s right, the oak is already well-integrated.  Enjoy now, or within 5 years. Miles would pair it with mushroom risotto, as Merlot likes mushrooms and truffles.
