Wine is something that I associate to my daily life style; wine is a social drink worldwide, and having the privileged of the uncountable Wine Estates on our doorstep. I love working at The Wine Society...where else can one enjoy sharing with Wine-Lovers my choices and experience with all the amazing wines we get in straight from the Estates.

Our monthly trips and luncheons at a different Estate also make my 'job' so enjoyable.

I have been involved in the Wine Industry for the last 8 years and earlier in my career undertook the Intermediate Wine Academy Course which furthered my interest in wine. Most of all I enjoy engaging with my diverse clients, getting to know them and opening them to richer vistas of their wine experience.

After living abroad and getting to taste wines from different countries, I returned to South African and entered the wine industry. I joined the TWS in 2006 and have built up a solid base of diverse wine lovers, collectors and drinkers. I am also currently studying psychology and social work through UNISA. "It's fantastic to work in such a dynamic industry and be able to speak to clients who are as enthusiastic about wine as I am. Since entering the wine industry, my taste buds have never known a dull moment."

The enjoyment of interacting with my clients over the last six years has been accentuated by the fact that I am learning continuously and I'm able to share my knowledge with my clients. Discovering new wine estates, grape varietals, different styles of wines and the little gems which we are able to offer are all highlights of the job. My parents have both been heavily involved in the Wine Education side of the wine industry and I have been exposed to this wonderfully diverse industry from a young age. But I truly fell in love when I started studying wine in earnest; there are so many interesting levels and layers in the wine industry, including the immensely enjoyable aspect of tasting/drinking. I am a qualified wine judge, a Wine Specialist Tour Guide and I have completed my Diploma with the Cape Wine Academy. I am pleased that The Wine Society gives me an opportunity to offer my clients a great selection of outstanding wines.
